BRAID
Exhibition at PENTASIETE art gallery in Quito, Ecuador. This exhibition was about an exploration of the relationship between Pentasiete art gallery space and the streets. For 10 days I went early to the gallery and went outside knitting a white and colored braid that was connected to a drawing, and then to a small suitcase, to the ground and it went to my hands growing while I was walking. At night I will carry the braid back to the inside of the gallery and close it, to start again the next morning. The braid will get longer and longer filling each day more of the streets and each night more of the interior space of the gallery. I wanted to question the role of art and connect with the public outside of the gallery space.
Exposición en la galería del PENTASIETE en Quito, Ecuador. Esta exposición fue una exploración sobre la relación entre el espacio de la galería y la calle. Por 10 días fui temprano a la galería y salí a la calle tejiendo una trenza blanca de costales. La trenza salía de un dibujo que se conectaba a una pequeña maleta. En la noche volvería de vuelta a la galería con la trenza y cerraría la galería para volver a comenzar al día siguiente. La trenza se volvería cada vez más larga, llenando las calles por el día y llenando el espacio interior de la galería por la noche.
